Core Definitions

Circulation: The number of offers made available, distributed, loaded, or printed. 

Redemptions / Redemption Units: The total number of valid or approved offer redemptions.

 

Redemption Dollars: The total amount paid out through offer redemption activity. 


Redemption Rate (%): The percentage of circulated offers that were redeemed. Calculated as Redemptions ÷ Circulation. 


Estimated Redemption: Projected redemption spend based on historical benchmarks and expected redemption rates. 


Projected Redemption: Forecasted total redemption spend based on current performance and expected future activity. Based on factors such as geographic distribution, offer value, and campaign type. 


Redemption Velocity: The average rate at which redemptions occur over a period of time. 

Coupon & Rebate Metrics 


Channel: The retail channel where redemption activity occurred, such as grocery, convenience, liquor, or mass merchandise. 


Retailer: The retail banner or merchant associated with the redemption activity. 


Offer Value: The reward amount available to the consumer.

 

Grace Period: A period after an offer ends during which valid redemptions may continue to be processed. 


Submitter Details: Information captured about the retailer or consumer responsible for redeeming an offer. 


Digital Rebate Metrics 

Basket Ring: The average total dollar value of a submitted receipt. 


Conversion Rate: The percentage of users who redeemed after viewing or engaging with an offer. 


Halo Effect: Incremental purchases that occur beyond the item directly incentivized by the offer. 


OCR: Optical Character Recognition technology used to extract information from receipt images. 


Landing Page Views: The number of visits to the initial page of a program experience. 


Offer Page Views: The number of visits to the page containing offer details. 


Product Adjacencies: Other products appearing on submitted receipts alongside the promoted item. 


Submissions: The total number of receipts submitted for validation. 


Sweepstakes Metrics 

Entries: The total number of contest or sweepstakes submissions. 


Valid entries: The total number of contest or sweepstakes submissions minus instances of spam or otherwise invalid entries, identified by AMG's spam protection tools. 


Reach: The percentage or quantity of locations, consumers, or markets engaged by a program. 


Coverage: The geographic scope of a promotion, such as national or regional. 


Sessions: The total number of visits to a sweepstakes or promotional site.

 

Pages per Session: The average number of pages viewed during a site visit. 


Source: The channel or referral source that brought a user into a promotion. 


Conversion Rate: The percentage of visitors who completed an entry, purchase, or other desired action.
